Manchester, which is situated in the north-west of England, is a city and metropolitan district in the United Kingdom’s largest metropolitan area, Greater Manchester. Formerly know as the worlds’ first industrialized city, it is now a university city. Our students would not only have the possibility to enjoy the lively nightlife and a great variety of shopping opportunities, but also various museums, theatres and music sites, which provide a wide selection of culture and art.
Manchester is also commonly known for their two football teams, Manchester United and Manchester City, both playing in the English Premier League. Our students would, therefore, have the possibility to watch one of the games on the largest football ground in the United Kingdom.
