The populations of Frankfurt, Dresden, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich, known like the "Magical Cities", are attractive destinations, where you will enjoy its monuments and rich culture.
The cultural offer is ample also in the small cities, as a result of its history, because the country has been developing and creating numerous smalls states or regions. UNESCO has declared thirty monuments Patrimony of the Humanity. Among them, the Museum of the Island, in Berlin, and the Cathedral of Cologne, but also the historical helmets of Stralsund and Bamberg, or the classic city of Weimar.
Germany is rich in popular celebrations that reunite every year to thousands of visitors; and we are not speaking only of the Oktoberfest from Munich, the Christmas Market of Nürnberg or of the Carnival of the Rhine.
And it is well known, Germany's gastronomy is not only fitted to the sausage of Bratwurst and chucrut. In addition to traditional prescriptions of each region it will be able to also find plates of the international kitchen in the numerous restaurants that extend by all the country.

On the 15th of May 1955, the Austrian State Treaty was ratified, with Austria declaring its permanent neutrality. Thanks to its location near the ?Iron Curtain?, Austria soon developed into a nerve center between the West and the East. Austria is also host country of many international organizations (UNO, OPEC) as well as host of many important conference and summit meetings, and in 1995 Austria becomes a member of the European Union.
Of the approximately 8 million inhabitants of Austria, 98% speak German. The six ethnic groups officially recognized in Austria (Burgenlandic Croatians, Roma, Slovaks, Slovenians, Czechs and Hungarians) are concentrated in the east and south of the country.
