The quantity and nearness of the historical sites, museums, monuments, restaurants and centers of interest cause that the distances are amazing short. To walk is the best thing to explore the cities of France and for major tours you can use the metro in Paris, Lille, Lyons, Marseilles, Toulouse and Rouen. The bus is another good option to move inside the French cities.

France is a country with a great history and culture. The French gastronomy is known worldwide for its quality and variety as every region of France has a type of particular kitchen that identifies with the environment.

The most important tourist attractions of France are the Castles of Loire, Mont-Saint-Michel’s Abbey, the International Festival of Cinema of Cannes, the cathedrals of Chartres, Amiens, Bourges and Reims declared by the UNESCO “Patrimony of the Humanity”, the Côte d’Azur, the Champs Elysées, and the Cathedral of Notre Dame.

The Eiffel Tower: If there is something that represents the tourism in France more than any other thing, it is The Eiffel Tower, an extraordinary tower constructed for the Universal Exhibition of 1889 in Paris. It has a height of 300 meters and a weight of 7300 tons, and from the apex one can overlook the whole city of Paris.

Arch of the Victory: Located in the city of Paris on the avenue Champe-Élysées, this famous monument was created in 1806. It is 50 meters high and 45 meters wide.

Museum Louvre: The building was a fortress, housing of the kings of France and now it is one of the most important museums of the world. Between 300.000 pieces of art you can find The Gioconda and Milo’s Venus. To these impressive pieces of art they add new pieces that come temporarily to the museum for some exhibitions.

The Palace of Versailles: The Palace of Versailles was the official residence of several kings of France and turns out to be one of the most beautiful palaces of the world.
