Vienna is the capital of the Republic of Austria as well as one of the federal states. All the economic, political, cultural and social matters are centralized in the city. The capital of Austria is one of the cities most visited in Europe. Vienna has a long history and its art heritage is enormous.
Music, theatre, ballet, dance and festivals form the cultural life of Vienna. Some of the tourist attractions are the Palace Belvedere, the Imperial Palace, or the Opera of Vienna, one of the big symbols of the city.
Vienna is the capital of Music since the 18th century.
The climate in Austria is of continental type. The winters in Vienna are very cold. Usually it snows in Vienna from the end of December until February. The summers are soft and humid. The autumn and the spring have very unconstant temperatures and relatively abundant rainfalls.
