Germany is a country in central Europe that forms a part of the European Union (EU). It borders in the northern part on the North Sea, Denmark and the Baltic sea, in the eastern part on Poland and the Czech Republic, in the southern part on Austria and Switzerland, and in the western part on France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands. Germany has the most numerous population of all the countries of the European Union.
Germany´s capital is Berlin and the official language is German.
